Transcript: Hello, I'm Erica West Oyedele the Chair for Interpreters and Transliterators of Color RID Member Section. We are currently preparing the for RID regional conferences scheduled for this year.
ITOC is planning to host a forum that will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes during each of the regional conferences. We are hosting a 1 hour workshop to occur during our forum time.
We are now looking for presenters of color who have a topic to share with our community. ITOC believes that it is vital to support our presenters of color. We would like to see interpreters of color well represented during the regional conferences and we want to show that our community consists of interpreters from varied backgrounds.
If you are a presenter of color with a topic to present during our forum, please send an email to itoc.chair@gmail.com.
We have a presenter in place for the region 5 conference and more details about that will be forthcoming. We are searching for presenters for regions 1, 2, 3 & 4. Again, we are looking for presenters of color. We want to support you! We want to recognize you, and we know that you can provide inspiration to our community.
